About

Step onto a world stage of global opportunities, when you study international studies alongside communication and media at UOW. You will focus on internationalisation and globalisation from different perspectives in this complimentary double degree. Examine the relationships of politics, society, culture, language, and history globally as you learn to analyse, appreciate and study the diversity of the global community.

Discover what forces shape the modern world and how we create messages that cut through the crowded global media landscape. On completion of this double degree, you will be able to address these challenges and more as you are prepared for a career in the world of digital communications and social media in an international context.

You'll benefit from our expertise in international relations and our involvement in issues of global development and sustainability. Build a strong understanding of the global communication and media industries as you are prepared for global careers with flexible and transferable skills. You will gain invaluable language skills as you learn about the forces shaping the modern world and the theories that underpin our understanding of the most important global issues. During your double degree, you will learn core skills across both disciplines. Then, you will select majors from a wide set of options to help build your specialist knowledge.
