UNE has a long history in agricultural education. The Bachelor of Agriculture/Bachelor of Business is the only combined course of its kind in Australia. You will gain the depth of fundamental knowledge and skills to succeed in business within the agricultural industry.

Areas of study

Accounting, agribusiness, agriculture, agricultural production, animal and plant production, cotton production, genetics, international business, high intensity cropping, livestock production, marketing, sheep and wool.

Career opportunities

Agriculture and business-related areas such as rural borrowing and lending; merchandising of farm inputs; merchandising of farm outputs; management and consulting positions in the crop, horticultural and animal industries; rural politics and advocacy; property management.

Practical experience

12 weeks of practical industry experience during university vacation periods; use of cutting-edge technology for industry and practical experience at a number of UNE's working farms, including our innovative SMART Farm and the production feedlot at Tullimba.

Assumed knowledge: Mathematics Standard 2.

Recommended studies: Biology and/or Chemistry, Mathematics Advanced.
