About

The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) via the Diploma of Engineering is a direct pathway into the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours).

Take the first step toward your future by undertaking the Diploma of Engineering. This diploma is equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree and will introduce you to the fundamental knowledge and concepts of electronics, electrical, mechanical and mechatronic engineering, as well as computing, mathematics and physics.

If you successfully complete the diploma, you will progress directly into the second year of the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and one of its specialisations without losing any time, as you’ll receive credit for the units you complete in the diploma.

Once you enter the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), you’ll be prepared to become a business professional in a wide range of careers. You’ll learn how to identify complex problems and determine how to formulate innovative solutions to today’s complex problems. And you’ll be equipped with the skills you’ll need to mix it with history’s greatest engineers.

ATARs and selection ranks required for entry in 2024 may be different. If you are unsure about including a course among your preferences, contact the relevant institution.

  1. This ATAR profile table is in line with Commonwealth Government transparency requirements. It is based on offers to recent school leavers (ie completed Year 12 in the last 2 years) who were selected solely or partly on their ATAR. Note that some institutions further differentiate this information on their websites.
  2. The ATAR values exclude any adjustment factors.
  3. The selection ranks include the ATAR and any adjustment factors.
