About

Cyber security is one of the fastest-growing industries in Australia. With this degree, you'll gain highly sought-after skills to generate and implement innovative cyber security solutions for business, government and individuals. You'll develop the expertise to investigate and identify current and future cyber security threats, conduct risk and vulnerability assessments of networked devices and infrastructure, and generate and implement innovative cyber security solutions.

You'll utilise cutting-edge facilities-including the new Cyber Range-to hone your security skills. Study topics such as Fundamentals of Cyber Security, Cyber Security Standards and Operations, Cyber Security Defence and Incident Response, Digital Forensics, Ethical Hacking, Cryptography, and Trustworthy AI. Your degree will also include core IT knowledge such as programming, networks and data management, and project management. You can also choose from a range of elective courses. In the last year of your studies, you will complete a practical project for industry or research placement providing first-hand experience of the knowledge, skills and attributes required to succeed in full-time employment.

Assumed knowledge: Any 2 units of English (Band 3) plus Mathematics Advanced (Band 3).
