Nursing is the science of professional caring. It offers opportunities to promote and restore health, prevent illness and alleviate suffering.

In this degree, you’ll develop the key knowledge and skills required to provide excellent nursing care. You’ll develop your skills through clinical placements across the health sector and you may have the opportunity to undertake rural, remote and overseas placements. You will learn from leading experts in this degree with Griffith ranked #1 in Australia and #2 in the world for Nursing and Midwifery, following the release of the 2020 Shanghai Ranking of World Universities. Students acquire the knowledge, skills and competencies to practise as registered nurses, with a focus on clinical practice and critical thinking. The program involves studies both on and off campus and clinical experience in a variety of nursing practice situations.
