About

This degree will put you on the path to a career in the pharmacy, pharmaceutical, biotechnology or nutraceutical industries. You’ll learn through hands-on experience in state-of-the-art facilities, including an immersive virtual learning environment, and formulation, pharmacology and analytical laboratories. You'll also participate in professional practice placements at the nearby Gold Coast University Hospital, and other clinical settings. Our degree structure enables you to learn while integrating the science of pharmacy with clinical practice, and our focus on interprofessional learning means that you’ll be well equipped to be part of a  valuable healthcare team after you graduate.

By studying this degree, you will gain a strong grounding in biomedical and pharmaceutical sciences. This degree places emphasis on contemporary pharmacy practice, clinical practice and pharmacy management.

Professional recognition

Graduates of this program will be eligible to apply for registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia via the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) subject to meeting any additional requirements that may be stipulated by the Pharmacy Board of Australia. Applicants with recent secondary education

Assumed knowledge: Any two units of English (Band 3); Mathematics Advanced or HSC Mathematics Extension 1 or 2 plus one of Biology, Chemistry or Physics

Guaranteed ATAR: 90 (or IB 30). Refer to the Griffith Guaranteed Admission Scheme for details.
