About

The Associate Degree of Public Health prepares you for a diverse career in emerging public health professions. Public health refers to a collection of disciplines that share a common aim to prevent disease, promote health and improve wellbeing among the population as a whole rather than focusing on individuals.

Through your studies you will develop a broad understanding of evidence-based strategies to address existing, evolving and re-emerging health risks and achieve higher standards of health and wellbeing. You will develop specialised skills and knowledge with the option to choose a major in health promotion or environmental health. A strong emphasis on participation, prevention and partnership with the community is threaded throughout the curriculum. This course provides a pathway to the Bachelor of Public Health (Specialisation), allowing you to further enhance your career prospects.
