Changes for 2018 admissions
There are some important changes to 2018 UAC uni admissions:
- The maximum number of preferences is five.
- There was an offer round after ATAR release and before Christmas.
- There was an offer round in mid-January but no ‘Main Round’.
- Cut-offs were published for the pre-Christmas round and the mid-January round.

New admissions terminology
The Australian Government's Higher Education Standards Panel has directed all universities across Australia to adopt a standard approach when providing information to students about admissions criteria and processes. This approach includes using common terminology which UAC will use in all publications this year.
