Here are answers to the most frequently asked questions about the application process. If you are having problems applying through UAC read the Website technical help FAQ.

To ensure an optimal experience when using UAC's online application services, use an up-to-date browser on a desktop or laptop computer.

You can apply between 7.30am and midnight (Sydney time), seven days a week.

How many times can I apply?

You can only submit one application to UAC. If you change your mind about the courses you are applying for, you can change your preferences by logging in to your application.

How many courses can I choose?

You can choose up to six course preferences. 

However, if you're interested in only one course, then only enter that course.

If you're interested in several courses, enter the course codes in order of preference up to the maximum of six course preferences.

You can only include the courses listed in the course search. Check the course updates for up-to-date lists of new and cancelled courses.

Does the order in which I list my course preferences matter?

Yes. Each institution will consider your application separately and they will consider your courses in the order you've listed them in your application. You could therefore receive one offer from each institution to which you've applied.

Order your courses according to your preferences, with the course you would most like to do at the top, the next most preferred second and so on down the list.

How do I know if I need to provide documents?

Most Year 12 students do not need to provide supporting documents.

If you do need to provide documents to UAC, this will be indicated in your application confirmation package, which you'll be prompted to download when you complete your application through UAC. Your confirmation package will include a cover sheet titled:

Can I choose more than one start date for the same course?

Yes. You can apply for the same course with multiple start dates; however, each start date is considered a new preference.

How will I know if my application is successful?

If you are successful you'll receive an unconditional offer in one of the offer rounds. Offer round dates are listed on our international key dates page. You can also view and download your unconditional offer by logging in to your application. If you use an agent your agent will also be able to view your offers.
