^ The annual tuition fees stated in this table are published for guidance only and are based on the normal annual (two semester) full- time enrolment of courses entirely in the discipline area of the degree (ie only Science courses for a BSc or only Arts courses for a BA). If you take more than a normal load in a year, you will pay more than the indicative annual fee; if you take less than the normal load, you will pay less. You also may pay more or less if you take courses from another discipline area as part of your degree. Tuition fees do not include the Overseas Student Health Cover premium.

Tackle some of the greatest health challenges of our time with B Health Science. B Health Science draws upon the world-leading strengths of ANU in medical education, biomedical science, population health, psychology, social science and public policy to prepare you for a future in medical, allied health and health-related professions. It will equip you with a broad understanding of the themes explored in advanced studies of medicine and offers a potential  pathway to the Doctor of Medicine and Surgery at ANU.

Admission to the Bachelor of Health Science also requires a successful assessment of suitability based on a Bachelor of Health Science Supplementary Form. Submission of this form is compulsory for all applicants.

There are approximately 60 places available in each intake of the Bachelor of Health Science. Thirty percent of offers made to domestic students are reserved for students from rural backgrounds. Applicants from a rural background are asked to indicate this in their supplementary form and are required to upload supporting documentation with their application. Fees and charges

The Australian Government pays part of the tuition fee for this course. The remaining balance is paid by the student. Information about ANU student contributions.

Essential requirements for admission

Supplementary form: Entry is based on meeting both the minimum selection rank  and a successful assessment of suitability based on a Bachelor of Health Science Supplementary Form. Submission of this form is compulsory for all applicants. This form must be submitted directly to the University by 30 November in the year of application.

Co-curricular or service experience (Year 12 or IB applicants only): Applicants must demonstrate at least two of the following seven skills: community engagement, inclusion and awareness of diversity, communication, leadership, personal responsibility, teamwork, creative and critical thinking. Check if you meet the ANU co-curricular or service requirement.

Prerequisites

Some Science subjects require specific knowledge of Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry.

Minimum selection rank: 90.00. Due to the competitive nature of our admissions process, we cannot guarantee entry to applicants who meet the minimum selection rank for their preferred program.
