Inclusion in the UAC Guide
There are two ways in which non-participating institutions can pay to be promoted in the UAC Guide:
- place a print advertisement
- be listed as an apply direct institution.
With the largest print run of a tertiary admissions guide in Australia (112,000 copies), the UAC Guide, published in July every year, is mandatory reading for anyone applying for undergraduate courses through UAC.
It is provided free of charge to all Year 12 students in NSW and the ACT. To reach all potential applicants, the Guide is also distributed to TAFE colleges, libraries and universities.
With its high pass-on rate to mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, partners, friends and workmates, the UAC Guide has an extremely wide readership.
An invaluable resource for teachers and student advisers, the UAC Guide contains details of over 2,000 undergraduate courses plus information on application procedures, finance for study, accommodation and career options. It is securely placed as the indispensable companion to tertiary admission in NSW and the ACT.
Advertising rates, specifications and terms and conditions for 2017–18 are set out in our Advertising UAC Guide 2017–18 brochure.
Apply direct entry
If you are an approved higher education provider offering FEE-HELP, you can promote your institution and courses (diploma level or higher) in the UAC Guide while maintaining direct application and admission procedures at your institution. Your information will be presented in a separate section of the Guide (Part 3) reserved for institutions who have direct application and admission procedures. Your courses will also be listed in the Guide index and in UAC's online course search and general information about your institution will appear on UAC's website.
Apply direct entry rates, specifications and terms and conditions for 2017–18 are set out in our Apply Direct Entry UAC Guide 2017–18 brochure.
Institutions are encouraged to contact UAC as soon as possible to discuss inclusion in the Guide.
For inclusion as an Apply Direct Entry, institutions need to have sent in their booking form by early February to secure a place in that year's Guide.
For advertisements, booking forms need to be submitted by mid-April.
